Our story

Made for lingering

Cafe Edinburgh grew from a simple idea: the best neighbourhood places feel as though they have always been there.

Rooted in the Old Town

Our stone rooms sit on the old route down from the Royal Mile to Holyrood. We keep that connection close — welcoming neighbours, walkers, artists and visitors at the same worn tables.

Small things, done properly

We buy seasonally, bake in small batches and work with independent Scottish producers wherever we can. Nothing showy. Just ingredients treated with care.

Hospitality without hurry

Coffee can be quick, but time here does not have to be. Stay for another cup, read by the window or settle in as afternoon turns to evening.
